Thank you for your interest in sponsoring the WT Woodson Crew Team. We are currently seeking sponsors for the upcoming school year and would greatly appreciate your support. With your help we will be able to keep our equipment in repair and provide excellent training for our student-athletes. Our fundraising also supports the expense of participating in regattas including the Stotesbury Cup in Philadelphia and the National Championships in New Jersey.

WT Woodson Crew is an all inclusive co-ed varsity sport with approximately 85 members. We have earned multiple State Championships and many of our boats are invited to compete in the National Championships. Rowing is a physically demanding sport that requires exceptional teamwork and concentration. Our team members develop positive lifelong habits through participation in our conditioning and training programs. Many of our student athletes go on to row in college and some have received scholarships to row at our nation’s leading universities.

Because we are a “Club Sport” we receive NO funds from Fairfax County Public Schools and are responsible for fundraising to pay for 100% of expenses including equipment and coaching. The cost of one 8 man shell and oars is is over $30,000.00.

We are seeking tax deductible cooperate sponsorship. We are a 501c non-profit corporation and donations to our club may be tax deductible.

To thank you for your $250.00 donation you will receive recognition on the back of our “Tag Day” Flyer, which we delivered to 5000 homes in the Woodson area, if your donation is received by September 15, 2008 (to allow ample time for printing). We will also provide links to all our sponsors on our web site.
