  • Happy 2015!  TAG Days have been a great success so far this year and we are looking forward to wrapping up this fundraiser with our last two TAG Days.
  • January 10th is the final opportunity to work a double shift and January 24th is the last single TAG Day.  If you are still in need of fulfilling your TAG day requirements, please go to signup genius and register for a shift.
  • Thanks to all of the rowers and parents that have completed their commitments thus far.  The time and effort by rowers and parents goes a long way to supporting our Crew team.

6.  PRACTICE BUS - Deposit and registration (attached) due 15 January
  • Peace of mind and time savings for parents!  Team camaraderie!  Relaxation and homework time!  All these are benefits to riding the crew team practice bus.  Potential Bus Riders:  The countdown has begun to our January 15th deadline for determining if there will be a crew practice bus this season. Please respond now!
  • We have reserved a charter bus but need a commitment from a minimum number of riders by 15 January to go forward with the contract. We need to know if your crew team member will ride the bus to and from crew practice on weekdays after school.  The final cost to you is yet to be determined because it is dependent upon the number of riders.  Great news!  The Booster Board has agreed to subsidize the total cost so that the maximum cost will be $450 per person ($9 per day) in the event that we only meet the minimum ridership of 35.  However, if more students sign up, the cost could drop closer to $350-$375 ($7-7.50 per day).  Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first served basis based on bus capacity.
  • The bus picks up and drops off in the Woodson parking lot, Monday - Friday, during the on-the-water season. (Note:  The bus does not run during Spring Break because the practice schedule varies.)  It provides time for the athletes to relax and have camaraderie without parents losing work time and dealing with carpools.  The bus registration form is attached and has more details.  Please sign up now!  We want to be able to provide this valuable service to all rower/coxswains, especially for the newer and younger members and for working parents who really need transportation assistance.
  • Make your $100 non refundable deposit check, payable to WTW Crew Boosters, and mail along with your signed (by both parent and student) bus registration form (attached) by 15 January to Kelly Dobrydney, Crew Bus Chaperone Coordinator, 4500 Rachael Manor Drive, Fairfax VA  22032, alternatively you may drop off registration and deposit at Kelly's home in the George Mason neighborhood off Braddock Rd.
  • The deposit deadline is JANUARY 15, 2015
