1.  PRACTICE BUS - Deposit and registration (attached) deadline EXTENDED -- 20 January
  • BUS SERVICE UPDATE  - EXTENSION GRANTED UNTIL TUESDAY!! - WE NEED YOUR RESPONSE NOW!!  We are short our minimum number of riders to move forward with the crew practice bus – if you've been thinking about it, now is the time to act!!  Please don't delay signing up for the bus, which offers peace of mind and time savings for parents, along with team camaraderie, relaxation and homework time for the riders.
  • We have reserved a charter bus, but need a minimum number of riders by January 15 (extended until January 20) to go forward with the contract.  Please let us  know if your crew team member will ride the bus to and from crew practice on weekdays after school. The cost is yet to be determined; it is dependent upon the number of riders. Great news - The board has agreed that the maximum cost will be $450 per person ($9 per day), but we still have a minimum number of riders needed to go forward with chartering the bus.  Note that as more students sign up, the cost will go down.  With a full bus, the cost will drop closer to $350 - $375, or $7-$7.50 per day.  Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The bus picks up and drops off in Woodson's parking lot Monday through Friday during on-the-water season.  It provides a time for the athletes to relax and have camaraderie without parents losing work time and e-mailing constantly to deal with carpools.  The bus registration form is attached and has more details.
  • Please sign up now!  We want to provide this valuable service to all rowers/coxswains, especially the newer and younger members with working parents who really need transportation assistance.
  • Make your $100 (nonrefundable, but returned if minimum ridership not met) deposit check payable to WTW Crew Boosters, and mail along with your signed (parent and student) bus registration form (attached) to Kelly Dobrydney, Crew Chaperone Coordinator, 4500 Rachael Manor Drive, Fairfax, VA 22032.  Alternatively, you can drop it at Kelly's home in the George Mason Forest neighborhood off Braddock Road.
  • The deposit deadline is now Tuesday, JANUARY 20, 2015.   If your registration won't make it by this date, please email Jane Ohashi (contact info below) to let her know it is coming.
