----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.  .  WTW Crew  - Football Concession Stand - 26 Sep
  • Please wear Crew Spirit Wear while volunteering!
  • This is a great way to connect with crew parents and earn some funds for WT Woodson Crew by supporting the Woodson Athletic Boosters.  We've committed to operating the booth one game per season (We still need a couple volunteers for the second shift)
2.  Boathouse Work Day - 27 Sep, 9am-2pm
3.  Swim Test (mandatory for new rowers/cox)  27 Sep 4pm Oak Marr Rec Center, 4pm
  • http://www.signupgenius.com/go/508094eaaaa2da64-aswimtest
    • Swim test information:  Please have your student athlete bring both their swimsuit/trunks and cold weather work out clothes.  They will swim the 100 meters in their swim suit/trunks.  Then they will tread for two minutes and put on a life jacket/vest in cold weather clothing.  For example, wear sweat pants and a hooded sweatshirt over a swimsuit to simulate cold-weather on-the-water practices.  Some athletes will wear long sleeved shirts, others will wear sweatshirts but, all wore pants (either sweat pants, workout pants, etc...) Safety is our top priority when the student athletes are on the water.
4.  Green Days - Sep 29 - Oct 4Oct 20 - Oct 25
5.  Tag Day Assistant/Shadow Needed - asap
  • We are looking for a shadow(s) to assist/learn the Tag Day routine.  As this is Marie's last year as a crew parent (her daughter Abie is a senior this year), we would love to have a smooth transition going into the 2015-2016 season.  The ideal candidate(s) would be parents of a sophomore (but we'll take freshman and junior parents as well).
  • Please contact Marie at mariekolls@gmail.com.
6.  Craft Fair - Tell everyone you know to "Save the Date for Craft Fair -- 8 Nov!"
  • Greetings Crew Families!
  • Please mark your calendars for this year's 22nd Annual Holiday Happenings Craft Show.  When: Saturday, 8 November 2014, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (that's just 6 weeks away).  We're asking that each of you please forward this information to all of your friends and family in the area.  Also, if you are a member of any clubs or organizations, make sure they're included - the more the merrier!
  • This year's show features a variety of uniquely handcrafted arts and crafts and is a great place to shop for holiday gifts.  As always, admission for shoppers is FREE!
  • Our Facebook Page is under construction but you can still "like" us for updates as they come in. https://www.facebook.com/WTWoodsonCraftShow/471330316308047
  • A SignUpGenius will be sent out to let you know how you can volunteer to support this event (We need volunteers 7 & 8 Nov)
  • Thanks to each of you for helping to make this years show profitable for the WTW Crew Team!  Respectfully, Laura G. Hundley (WTW Crew Craft Fair Chair)
