VASRA Regatta Jobs - Review your specific VASRA regatta position's requirements on the WTW crew site to make sure you have signed up for the best job for you! VASRA will not give credit if you are unable to perform your task. If you do not check at VASRA Volunteer tent 30 minutes prior to shift, or are unable to perform your VASRA job, you will be assessed a $50 fine. Wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes, bring water, sunscreen etc.

2. Polar Bear Regatta - Saturday 26 March. Go to the website for detailed regatta information - http://www.wtwcrew.org/home/regatta-informationAthlete Show Times: Coaches advise athletes on show times. Athletes may be dropped off at the Van Thompson Lot before you get to the park entrance. Athletes are then shuttled to the top of Boathouse hill. Allow plenty of time, minimum 1/2 hour, prior to show time for athlete to get to the boathouse from drop off. - Water - Water is not turned on at the river. Athletes need to bring full water bottle and extra water!

- Friday afternoon/evening, go to http://vasra.org, and link to Polar Bear Regatta for Heat Sheet for race times. Note: VASRA usually makes updates - check for final heat sheet Saturday morning. Recommend printing heat sheets and highlighting Woodson races and Final races in each category
Food Assignments - No Pre Regatta Dinner this week. Regatta Athlete Food Tent (RAFT) donations need to be at the boathouse by 8am. Donations for the Polar Bear Regatta RAFT may be dropped off at 3213 Amberley Ln, by Friday night. Leave in big white cooler or in plastic bin under the carport if we are not home. - Remember, Sandy Run is a fantastic venue for rowing, but logistics and parking for crowds is a challenge.

Parking - VASRA Parking is limited, and fee in the past was $15 per car. Remember, parking lots accommodate team buses, athletes, coaches, VASRA staff, and spectators - the lots closest to the Boathouse fill up quickly, after parking you may be shuttled to top parking.
Spectators: To get to Grandstand from Parking Lot C Walk takes approximately 30 minutes, it is a 3/4 mile, on mostly unpaved path, from Parking Lot C at Sandy Run to the Grandstand. Van Shuttle from Lot C at Sandy Run Parking Lot to the Grandstand, $2 each way - van drops within 1/4 mile of Grandstand, that path is paved.
- Allow a MINIMUM of one hour after parking to get to the Grandstand prior to race time.
