  4. UPDATE: Tag Day Sign-Ups
  5. NEW: Swim Test

1. REMINDER: The WT Woodson Rowing Team store is now open. All rowers are required to have a uni and long-sleeved coolmax shirt. If you are a returning rower and your uni and shirt are in good shape and still fit, you do not need to order. New rowers will need to order. Here is the link to the JL Racing team store:

https://www.jlracing.com/page.WTWoodson.html

At the JL Team Store site, you can use your own credit card to order required team uniform items as well as training gear. Everyone MUST get their order in by midnight (PST) on January 16, 2018. If you miss the store closing date, you will need to order your uniform as an individual, directly from JL. For individual orders, pricing and shipping will be different than a team purchase.

Regarding checkout: There is information on the site to help you place your order. Please pay special attention when inputting payment information at checkout. If the transaction does not lead you to a confirmation screen, the order did not go through. Please double check the information that you entered.

If you have any questions please contact your team order administrator:
Babette Korn
Email: gwkorn@yahoo.com
Phone: 703-568-3985
Planned delivery for Team Order: March 2, 2018

Be sure to check out the FAQ page (http://www.jlracing.com/page.teamstorefaqs.html) and the sizing tab if you have any questions. Since we had a snow day last Friday, Babette will have sizing samples available for rowers to try at practice this week around. She will also be bringing the remaining spirit wear previously ordered and not picked up to practice. If any parent does not want Babette to provide the spirit wear order to their student-athlete on Friday, please let her know as soon as possible. We are still awaiting backorders.

UPDATE: We have one women’s L/L uni for sale (worn just once) for just $45. It goes to the first person to email Babette that they want it.

2. REMINDER: USRowing Membership. If you are a returning rower/coxswain and have received an email from USRowing regarding your membership expiring and the need to renew your membership, please don’t renew or purchase your USRowing Membership as WTW Crew Boosters will be paying for team memberships and will send further information once complete. Memberships will be paid in time for the Erg Sprints.

3. NEW: Scrip Orders due January 15th.

4. UPDATE: There are two more Tag Days scheduled (January 20th and February 3rd). Sign-up for Tag Days! Our next Tag Day is this Saturday, January 20th. Returning rowers/coxswains are reminded that they are required to do four (4) Tag Day shifts this year and new rowers/coxswains are required to do three (3). If you did not do a Craft Show volunteer requirement, you can make it up by doing another Tag Day shift. If you don’t complete your Tag Day shifts, you will pay a financial penalty so please sign-up.

Thanks to all who signed up for Tag Days thus far. The President made the decision to cancel the Tag Day on January 6th, because it was just too cold. The board is determining how much credit to give for those of you who signed up for but missed either or both the December and January Tag Days. To date we have earned just over $10,000. Our goal at the beginning of the year, was $20,000 which was in reach - until the weather days hit. There are two Tag Days left (4 shifts). Lets get full participation, 128 rowers covering 32 routes, so we can close with a flourish earning (based on this year’s averages) close to another $9000 for the team.

5. NEW: Last Swim Test. The last swim test of the season will be held on February 4th at the Audrey Moore Pool from 2-3pm. All rowers and coxswains must complete a one-time swim test. We will reach out to those still requiring the swim test directly.

6. REMINDER: World Indoor Rowing Championships. An opportunity for our rowers (and their families) to participate in the World Indoor Rowing Championships! Usually held in Boston, this year TC Williams High School in Alexandria, VA is hosting it in place of the Mid–Atlantic Ergs on February 17th and 18th. Those that have participated in the Mid–Atlantic Ergs in the past know it is a tremendous, upbeat event that provides a great opportunity for our rowers. The World Indoor Rowing Championship this year promises to be even better. Go to Regatta Central Erg Sprints site to get all the details and register by January 31, 2018.
NOTE: Signing up for the championship can be confusing. If you have any questions, email the WTW Crew Booster President at wtw.crew.president@gmail.com and he will walk you through it. Your age category is your age as of 31 December 2018. Many seniors will have to participate in the 19-23 category.

NOTES:
