1. Team Pictures are today (Monday, 6 March) at 3:15pm in the main gym at WT Woodson High School in unis and tech shirts before the bus departs for the river. Please ensure student-athletes bring their unis and tech shirts to school on Monday.

2. The CCI Woodson Spirit Wear site is open until midnight tonight, (Monday, 6 March). We are hoping for delivery before the Polar Bear Regatta. There is a new white ‘Hey Woodson’ t-shirt being offered and this is the only way to purchase this shirt. Unfortunately the Under Armour hoodie and pants are not currently available for purchase because the company has discontinued that style and a new one will be offered in the fall. The uniforms and splash jackets ordered from JL Racing has not arrived yet. They will be delivered to rowers at the river as soon as they arrive. If you have NOT ordered a new uni, please contact Tu’lann von Christierson immediately at tulannvonc@cox.net.

3. Our parent social is this Friday, 10 March at 7:30-10:00pm. Stacey & Adam Bromberg are hosting at 9205 Hamilton Drive in Fairfax. It's a great opportunity to meet and connect with other Crew Parents and Coaches. Adults only. BYOB! We are asking parents to help with a few items needed for the evening, so please sign-up and join us for a fun evening.

4. Launch Boat Driver Training is now this Saturday, 11 March. If you are interested in attending, please sign-up here: Launch Boat Driver Training.

5. Volunteer opportunities available on the VASRA Regatta Volunteer Sign-Up and the Occoquan Clean-Up Sign-Up. Each WTW Crew family has a requirement to fulfill at least two VASRA volunteer jobs during the season. Either of these volunteer opportunities will count toward these requirements. The current jobs available, for the most part, require you to be in or around the water or to walk through unpaved areas. Please be sure to dress appropriately. Also, please arrive for check in at least 30 minutes before your scheduled sign up time. If you have questions about the job responsibilities, there are descriptions on the WTW Crew website.

6. UPDATE: Unfortunately, we found crew is not considered an eligible sport and thus rowers do not qualify for the VHSL scholarships mentioned in the 20 February email.

7. Pictures of team practices taken by Serena Scorgie-Mullet can be found on our webpage under the Photo Gallery. Thank you again Serena for giving us a glimpse into practice.
