1. REMINDER: Next TAG DAY is this Saturday. Tag Days have been going very well and we look forward to another successful Tag Day this Saturday, December 8th. We still have a few slots available for anyone who hasn’t signed up yet. Sign-up here.

2. NEW: Thank you for the #GivingTuesday support. We are pleased to announce the success of our inaugural Giving Tuesday campaign. Thank you to those that spread the word and / or donated - you are our heroes! We received over $2,500 in donations! That will go a long way to helping us meet our financial goals for the 2019 Spring Season!

Our fundraising site is open through the end of December and if Giving Tuesday wasn't the right time for your friends or family to give, keep us in mind when you are making your end-of-year donations decisions.

3. REMINDER: The 34th annual Erg Sprints take place Saturday, February 2nd at T.C. Williams High School. Look for 2,000 meter events as well as 20 and 30-minute, half marathon, marathon, relays, 500 meter sprints, double and quad slide, parent/child, and kids events. Athletes do not have to qualify to enter and all ages and levels of experience are welcome. Early registration closes December 31st. Get more information at www.ErgSprints.com and on RegattaCentral.

4. NEW: Nutrition. There are only 78 days until we are on the water! Winter Conditioning is going well, but we thought it was worth reminding all student-athletes of the importance of good nutrition. In addition to physical training, nutrition is a key part of such preparation. Here is some information on nutrition basics for gaining lean mass for athletes. USRowing also has a lot of good information at Nutrition | USRowing - USRowing.

5. NEW: Open Volunteer Positions. We are actively seeking volunteers to fill the following open positions:
  • Away Regatta Food Tent Coordinator
  • Practice Bus Coordinator
These positions fulfill a portion of your team volunteer commitment. The excellent news is that we have parents on the team that have previously held these positions so there is a wealth of guidance and support for both jobs. They are a great way to provide meaningful support to the team. If you are interested in more information or in taking on one of these roles, please contact Jami Shawley and Lesley Kowalski at wtwcrewactivities@gmail.com.
