  1. St Andrews Registration
  2. Additional VASRA Volunteer Opportunities Open

Let’s get ready to pull for Woodson at St. Andrew’s!

1. REMINDER: St. Andrew’s Regatta is this Saturday, March 30th. There is no pre-regatta dinner on Friday. This link has all the information you need to prepare for the trip, what to bring, address, schedule for the day, and contact information. Here is a link to the school as well which has a good video and pictures for those interested.

The buses will depart Woodson HS at 7:30am on Saturday. All students should be at Woodson HS by 7:15am. If a student will be bringing medication, please ensure they come with a signed Student Medication Form and meds in a plastic bag marked with their name.

NEW: Racing is currently scheduled to begin at 1pm. Races will run every 15 minutes, generally starting with the youngest/novice boats and ending with Varsity boats. They will alternate boys and girls boats. Here is a link to the map of the racing course. Our tent will be located across from St. Andrew’s where it states “Returning boats proceed single file.”

Boys teams racing March 30th:

St. Augustine

Girls teams racing March 30th:
St. Andrew's

Ocean City
TC Williams

As a reminder, please sign-up here if parent(s) are attending (volunteering or not) this Saturday, March 30th.

For family members driving to the regatta, here is the GPS address for where our team will be located: 560 Noxontown Road, Townsend DE 19734. Go past the school driveway and turn into the picnic area across the pond from the school. Follow the “Crew” signs.

We recommend that parents attending bring chairs and possibly blankets to better enjoy the regatta. We also recommend wearing layers as the weather can quickly change (and has in previous years). The area we watch the regatta from and where we set up the food tent has been muddy in previous years as well.

NEW: The location we are at for the St. Andrew’s Regatta has no potable water source, so we encourage parents and student-athletes to bring reusable water bottles.

2. UPDATE: Additional VASRA Volunteer Opportunities Open, If you have not already signed up for a VASRA Volunteer opportunity, we have added some new slots and you may sign-up here. All shifts on this signup take place at regattas held at Sandy Run, 10450 Van Thompson Road, Fairfax Station.

There are several dates, times, and locations within the park. (Please note: shifts with no ending times go until the work is done) Some jobs require a level of physical fitness or skill. Please check this link before you sign up to make sure you know what you are signing up for.
