1. REMINDER: Registration is still open. Complete the first five steps of registration to join the team in Winter Conditioning at Woodson. Winter Conditioning for new rowers begins Tuesday, December 3rd. Rowers must complete the full registration process no later than February 20th, 2020 to participate in on-the-water activities. Everything you need to know about registration and the Crew season — including exactly what forms need to be filled and where to deliver them as well as all the deadlines — are outlined on our website. The early-bird rates are gone but you can still register for the team.

If you have questions about this process, please contact the W.T. Woodson Crew Membership team at wtwcrewmembership@gmail.com.

2. NEW: Practice bus signup is open - The Woodson Crew Boosters Association coordinates bus transportation between W.T. Woodson High School and Sandy Run Regional Park for on-the-water practices beginning in February. The fee for the bus is on top of regular dues. Last year, every seat on the bus was reserved, so seats are available through this registration process on a first-come, first served basis. Order of registration is based on the date of payment. Register now and complete your payment no later than January 21, 2020 via Paypal. The fee per crew member is $530 for the 2020 season. Half the seats in the bus are already reserved so sign up soon!

3. REMINDER: Mandatory Tag Days: All rowers and coxswains — including novices — are required to participate in some part of Tag Days. Returning rowers need to attend four Tag Day shifts and novice rowers must attend three shifts. Walking neighborhoods together helps our athletes spread the word about Crew, raise funds for the season and bond as a team. Please sign up now to participate in at least Tag Days. The next Tag Day is next Saturday, December 7. The remaining dates are January 11 and 25, and February 1 and 8.

Please contact WTW Crew volunteer chair Susan Burger if you have questions about Tag Days at wtwcrewvolunteer@gmail.com

6. REMINDER: Restaurant Fundraiser at Noodles & Co. Bring this flyer and your appetite to Noodles & Co on Main Street in Fairfax between 4 and 8 PM Tuesday December 3rd and help Woodson Crew. Noodles and Co. will graciously donate 25% of the cost of your meal to the team. Have a hungry rower who just finished Winter Conditioning? Here’s your solution.

Here’s a blurb you can copy and paste into your own social channels (or your neighborhood NextDoor):

Help the Woodson Crew team mark Giving Tuesday and raise money for a great 2020 season with dinner at the Fairfax Noodles & Co. Bring your appetite Tuesday December 3rd between 4 and 8 PM and show this flyer when you order.
