NEW: USRowing Memberships and Waivers: WTW Crew has paid Basic USRowing membership renewal fees for all returning student-athletes whose memberships were due to expire during the spring regatta season. It has also paid membership fees for novice and freshman student-athletes who are registered in Ronin. Due to multiple power outages in Mantua last week, notices were not provided last week. Your student-athlete will receive more information about how to complete the USRowing Waiver this Monday at practice. Please sign the waiver as soon as possible. Parents need to sign if the student-athlete is under 18. Student-athletes over 18 can sign for themselves. Many 9th grade parents submitted signed copies of the USRowing waiver during Green Days in the fall, but this step is still needed now that their student-athlete’s membership is active. If you are participating in ERG sprints please do this immediately. 7. REMINDER: Volunteer Opportunity. Shadow to Board Treasurer - Our current treasurer, Allison Kim, is the parent of a senior. Therefore, the role of treasurer for the board of directors will be open next year. She has done an outstanding job in the role for two years and will set the next treasurer up for success. Because of the importance of this role, we are looking for someone to shadow Allison for the remainder of this year and then take over next year. (after official election at the annual meeting in June.) A shadow in this role will earn 50% of the volunteer credits this year = 1 VASRA commitment, 2 team commitments. If you have skills as a bookkeeper or experience with accounting and are interested in learning more about the position, please email board president, Mary Claire Boucher, at wtw.crew.president@gmail.com. Full description of the Treasurer's role can be found on page 5 of our by-laws. 8. REMINDER: WTW Crew Yard Sale. We’ve got a shiny new boat to pay for so we are bringing back the Rummage Sale on April 28th (May 5th is our rain date).
