Chipotle Fundraiser TUESDAY, Fall Green Days, Parent Interest Meeting

It was great to welcome so many student-athletes at the Swim Test on Saturday. If you weren’t able to make it, there are two more Swim Tests scheduled for 2-3 PM Saturday and Sunday at Audrey Moore REC Center Pool. We take great pride in the accomplishments of our championship team and look forward to welcoming all of our student-athletes, returning and novice, for a great 2019 - 2020 season!


1. REMINDER: Chipotle Fundraiser Please join us tomorrow, TUESDAY, September 10 for our first restaurant fundraiser of the season at Chipotle from 4-8 PM. The address is 9506 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22031. 


  • Online orders are not included in fundraiser total, only in-store purchases count

  • Make sure you show one of the attached fundraiser flyers (hard copy or on your phone) and tell the cashier at checkout that you are there for a WTW Crew fundraiser before you pay! If you don’t tell the cashier, we won’t get credit for the sale

  • Gift cards purchased during fundraisers do not count towards total donated sales, but purchases made with an existing gift card will count.

 


2. REMINDER: Fall Green Days Start Sept 24. Click here to learn more about Green Days. Sign-up on the Sign-Up Genius for each day you will be attending a Green Day and annotate if you are a rower or a coxswain.

  • September: 24,26: 4:30-6:30pm

  • September 28 Saturdays from 8-10am  

  • October: 1,3,8,10: 4:30-6:30pm

  • October 5 &12 Saturdays from 8-10am 


Returning Rowers/ Coxswains need a VHSL physical dated after May 1, 2019. Please turn into WTW Athletic Trainer, Rm. C158. Allow up to 5 business days for processing. If you are turning in your forms and wish to participate in a Green Day immediately, request a yellow acknowledgement slip at the trainer’s office.

 

Novice Rowers/ Coxswains need to complete the following:

 

  1. VHSL Physical Form turned in to the WTW Athletic Trainer’s office, rm C158 at Woodson. If you are turning in your forms and wish to participate in a Green Day immediately, request a yellow acknowledgement slip at the trainer’s office.

  2. Emergency Care Form 

  3. Swim Test (see dates and Sign-Up Genius below)

  4. Sign-up to attend Fall Green Days on Sign-Up Genius

  5. Sign the US Rowing Waiver (we will email a link to this document to everyone who signs up for Fall Green Days).

 

There is no shuttle bus; therefore your own transportation is required to and from all Green Day practices. All sessions are at Sandy Run Regional Park (10450 Van Thompson Road, Fairfax Station, VA). 

 

3. REMINDER: Swim Tests: All novice rowers must attend one Swim Test session before participating in Green Days. Swim tests will be held from 2 to 3 pm Saturday September 14 and Sunday September 15.

 

Swim Tests are held at Audrey Moore Rec Center, 8100 Braddock Road, Annandale, VA. Use this Sign-Up Genius to let us know which date you’ll attend. (We also need one parent volunteer at each session. If you can help out, sign up at the same Sign-Up Genius link above.)

5. SAVE THE DATE: Please join us on October 17 from 7-9pm to learn more about the WT Woodson Crew team for the 2019-2020 season. This parent interest will be held at W.T. Woodson High School in Cafeteria B. This meeting is for parents of new rowers/coxswains, as well as returning rowers.
