1. WINTER CONDITIONING this Friday will be the whole team from 3:30-5:30pm. 2. The FIELD TRIP TO THE NAVAL ACADEMY is this Saturday, 28 January. All participants must be at the Woodson front parking lot, no later than 9:45am with the items listed below. If you have not done so, please register no later than midnight tonight (Thursday, 26 January) on this Sign-Up Genius site.
9:45am: Meet at Woodson’s Front Parking lot 10:15am - 11:15am: Travel via bus to Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland Transportation will be two 62 passenger FCPS buses to help facilitate and expedite Naval Academy security requirements. All students will ride the bus with at least two chaperones and one coach per bus. Directors of Crew Boosters and other accompanying booster parents will fill any empty seats on the bus. 11:15am - 11:50am: Arrive at Visitors Center Tour Visitor Center and rowing facilities 12:00pm - 4:00pm: Rowing Camp Demonstration and practical application of conditioning and rowing techniques under direction of WT Woodson coaches using state of the art rowing equipment 4pm - 4:30pm: Change clothes/snack 4:30pm: Depart Naval Academy 5:30pm: Arrive at WT Woodson Approximate time of arrival at Woodson’s front parking lot 3. NEW: For coxswains not going to the Naval Academy, Coach Tylander strongly recommends this opportunity this weekend 4. NEW: We have one final swim test from 2-3 pm on 11 February at Oak Marr Recreation Center. Register on the Sign Up Genius page. All new rowers and coxswains must have a successful swim test on record to go on the water. 5. NEW SAVE THE DATE: Join us for a WTW Crew Team fundraiser at Banyan Tree Restaurant (in Turnpike shopping center between Peet's Coffee and Chipotle) on Thursday, 9 February from 5-8 pm. Please come out and help your team earn some money while enjoying delicious Indian food with friends and family. No flyers needed -- just tell the cashier that you are supporting Woodson Crew and a percentage of sales will be donated to the team.
