1. WINTER CONDITIONING resumes tomorrow, Tuesday, 3 Jan. There are only 32 days of conditioning until we are back on the water. While winter conditioning remains optional, attendance is strongly encouraged. We will return to the following schedule until 17 Feb:
2. MidAtlantic Erg Sprints: Registration is open for the 2017 MidAtlantic Erg Sprints on 4 Feb. This is the world’s second largest indoor rowing competition & THE largest for high school athletes. They welcome athletes of all ages and levels who want to compete. http://ergsprints.com. If you register by 7 Jan., you get a discount. Athletes should talk to their coaches this week, if they haven’t already, about what events to enter and then register. 3. REMAINING TAG DAYS: 7 & 21 Jan (Saturdays) If you haven’t earned your fundraising credits, there are still two more Tag Days you can sign up for. Each rower can earn $100 in fundraising credit per tag day shift up to a maximum of $300 in 3 shifts. Parents can earn $50 in tag day credit for either driving during tag day or hosting a tag day at their home. There are single shifts and double shifts available. Please read the Sign-up Genius information carefully as to which date and shift you are signing up for. Also - we are still looking for a Tag Day Coordinator to step up and take on this position for the 2017 / 2018 season next year. If you are interested, the current Tag Day Coordinator, Mary Claire Boucher (mcboucher@verizon.net), will be happy to answer questions and show you the ropes. It is a rewarding way to support the team in the off season and contribute significantly to WTW Crew’s financial success. This option is also available on the Sign-up Genius.
