UPDATE: FCPS has again called for a two hour delay tomorrow. Since there will be school tomorrow (Thursday), practice will again be held in the WT Woodson cafeteria B. The change in practice location is due to the weather and Sandy Run Park will likely still be closed. The practice schedule will be: Boys 3:30-5:00pm and Girls 4:45-6:15pm.

This Saturday, 18 March, we have Occoquan Clean-Up and Launch Boat Driver Training. The WTW Crew POC for the Occoquan Clean-Up is Jenny Duffy, jenduf13@gmail.com, 571-332-9321. You can also follow VASRA on Twitter @VASRAResults to get the latest on workday schedules. The POC for the Launch Boat Driver Training is Greg Torgersen, gtorg65@gmail.com, 202-360-7249. There may be rain this Saturday, but the forecasted temperature for Saturday is 60 degrees at the river.

UPDATE: The entire team will be going to St. Andrew’s Regatta on 1 April. The buses will depart WT Woodson at 7am. Since we will be chartering a bus to the regatta, the cost for each student will be $70. Checks (payable to WTW Crew Boosters) and required paperwork (Parental Authorization FormStudent Rules of Conduct Form, and Student Medication Form) are due before Thursday, 29 March. We are currently scheduled to have an Away Regatta meeting for parents on March 29th at 7pm. In the meanwhile, if you have questions please contact Catherine Foley-Caperton and Sissy Kutia at wtwcrewactivities@gmail.com.

We need volunteers to host the pre-regatta dinners. The first regatta is a little over a week away and we need volunteers to hosts as soon as possible. Hosts will earn two $50 fundraising service credits. The team dinners are from 7pm-9pm (volunteers 6:30-9:30pm). To be a host home, we ask that (1) you have ample parking (street parking is okay) and (2) can accommodate 60-90 teenagers and five chaperones. Once we have the Host information a sign-up will be sent requesting chaperones for the dinners. Chaperones will earn one $50 fundraising service credit. Contact Kris Cole at colechips@yahoo.com if you are interested in Hosting a dinner.
