4. US ROWING WAIVER – All team members should have received a paper reminding them to renew their US Rowing Waiver. This slip contained the member’s individual US Rowing number and instructions on how to complete the waiver. Although US Rowing memberships are active for one (1) year from the date of purchase, the rowing waiver expires every December 31st. In order for a rower/coxswain to get onto the water, he/she needs not only an active membership in US Rowing but also a current, signed waiver. For team members under 18 years old, a parent is required to read and sign the waiver. Please complete this with your rower as soon as possible. The US Rowing website is: https://membership.usrowing.org

As a reminder, WTW Crew Boosters purchases a basic US Rowing membership for every member who is registered in Ronin Racing.

Coaches have the reminder slips for members who did not get them Friday.

Please contact Jean Boyle at wtwcrewmembership@gmail.com or 703-539-8607 with any questions about the waiver. Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.

5. ONE TAG DAY REMAINING: Saturday, 11 February

If you don’t have all your fundraising credits, this is a great way to earn them. Each rower can earn $100 in fundraising credit per tag day shift up to a maximum of $300 in 3 shifts. Parents can earn $50 in tag day credit for either driving during tag day or hosting a tag day at their home. Please read the Sign-up Genius information carefully as to which date and shift you are signing up for.

  • Once again this year Mason Women’s Rowing will be hosting an event targeted at juniors who are interested in rowing in college. It will be held on Sunday, 12 February from 11:00am to 1:30pm with an optional lunch and campus tour following the main program. A lot of the information presented will be Mason-specific but they will also be talking about the recruiting and admissions process in general, as well as NCAA eligibility requirements so there is some benefit to attending even if your athletes aren’t sure they are interested in Mason. Although the event is primarily directed at juniors, they have also had sophomores and even seniors who have already applied to Mason attend in the past. If you are interested, please RSVP by today, 6 February. Please click here to view or download the flyer for more information View Download
