1. NEW: It turned out to be a beautiful day at the St. Andrew’s Regatta on Saturday and a good experience for all of our student-athletes who participated. Here is the link to photos of the team from the regatta. If anyone has any photos from the day they would like to share and that we could post on our site, please send them to wtwcrewphotographer@gmail.com. A special thank you to Jami Shawley for ensuring everyone had a ride home after one of the busses was unable to make the trip home. Thank you also to Eleanor Curtis, our Away Regatta Food Coordinator, the Kutia’s for bringing the chuckwagon, and to all of the volunteers.

The Women’s Lightweight-8+, racing up in the Women’s Second Eight category, won their race in an exciting finish to beat out Ocean City of New Jersey, TC Williams of Alexandria, St. Andrew’s of Delaware, Mainland of New Jersey, and Holy Spirit of New Jersey: Haley Cole (Cox), Jenna Hissong, Joy Kim, Marie Korn, Mya Rowe, Kathryn Taheri, Gail Schneider, Reagan Smith, Katlyn Howard. Way to go ladies!

Here are the results for all of the Men’s races and the Women’s races.

We congratulate all the WTW rowers and coxswains who participated in Saturday’s regatta and look forward to our next regatta at the Occoquan this Saturday.

2. REMINDER: Although there is no school today, Monday, April 2nd, practice will be held at the normal time 4:00- 6:30pm, but there is no practice bus today.

3. NEW: Pre-Regatta Dinner Food Assignments for all families. Our next pre-regatta dinner is this Friday from 7-9pm at the McCarthy’s home (*requires authentication). Thank you to the McCarthy family for hosting and to the parents who have signed up to help. Here are the dinner and RAFT food assignments for all families (*requires authentication). Please bring the assigned food items to the pre-regatta dinner, even if your student-athlete is unable to attend the dinner. If an athlete’s last name falls between the names listed then that is their food assignment.

4. REMINDER: Volunteer Opportunities. Thank you to the student-athletes and parents who have signed up to help in various roles so far! All volunteer slots are currently filled, but please check these links occasionally if you still haven’t satisfied your volunteer requirements in case any become available.

Here are the sign-up genius links for the pre-regatta dinner, RAFT, and VASRA. Those signed up to volunteer for any of the above this weekend should receive reminders, but we recommend that you check the sign-up links above to ensure you know what volunteer opportunities you signed up for and that you are there on time.

5. REMINDER: Practice Bus. We now also offer single-day rides for $20 per day as long as the student-athlete has a daily bus rider agreement form signed by a parent. If the carpool coordination is too inconvenient, too unreliable or just too much, consider signing up for the super convenient and reliable daily practice bus. To register, contact Jami Shawley at wtwcrewactivities@gmail.com.

6. REMINDER: Self-coordinating Carpool Sign-up. We have created a sign-up genius for those interested in self-coordinating Friday and Saturday carpools.

7. REMINDER: Fundraising from home.
