  1. Homecoming Parade
  2. VASRA Workdays Sign-Up Genius
  3. Registration Updates

1. REMINDER: All rowers/coxswains please join us this Friday, 20 October after school for the Homecoming Parade. The team will meet outside entrance 5 at 3:30pm. The parade should conclude before the Pig Out. The team will be walking the parade route with banners and flags, promoting the team while throwing candy to onlookers. Don’t forget to wear your Woodson Crew gear.

2. NEW: VASRA Fall Workdays Sign-Up is open. VASRA needs assistance installing a new dock ramp and getting equipment prepared for the winter. This work will be physically challenging and you will get wet and dirty. Please wear clothing that can possible get stained, ripped, or torn. Waterproof work gloves would be valuable (VASRA does have some work gloves, but may not have enough for everyone). Waders would also be valuable if you have them (some people will have to be in the water during the installation of the dock ramp). Work will be accomplished during a 3 hour shift from 9am-12pm on two Saturdays; 21 and 28 October. All work will be performed at Sandy Run Regional Park. Please meet at the maintenance shed immediately below Regatta Headquarters. Student-athletes are welcome to sign-up and can be given community service hours applicable for WTW High School graduation requirements. If you sign up, please annotate "Woodson" in the comments section so VASRA can keep track of volunteers by school.

3. UPDATE: Registration Updates.
  • In Monday’s email, we mentioned the address to send checks, but there were a few details I inadvertently omitted. It should have read:
For rowers participating in Winter Conditioning, the Emergency Care Form and Field Trip License and Vehicle Insurance Forms, along with initial payments made by check, need to be mailed or hand delivered by November 16, 2017 to:
WTW Crew Membership, c/o 8623 Hepplewhite Ct. Annandale, VA 22003
  • It has been brought to our attention that many student-athletes are having a difficult time completing the Student Concussion Training on home computers. However, they have successfully completed the training using WTW computers. If your student-athlete cannot get the FCPS Concussion Training to work at home, please have them attempt to do the training at WTW on a school computer. Once the parent and the rower have completed the training, please notify membership at wtwcrewmembership@gmail.com
