1. NEW: Al Urquia Regatta. Heat sheets have not been posted for this regatta yet.
We will post heat sheets updates and when available on our website.

2. REMINDER: Pre-Regatta Dinner Food Assignments for all families. Our next pre-regatta dinner is this Friday from 7-9pm at the McClintick’s home (* requires authentication). Thank you to the McClintick family for hosting and to the parents who have signed up to help. Here are the dinner and RAFT food assignments (* requires authentication) for all families. Please bring the assigned food items to the pre-regatta dinner, even if your student-athlete is unable to attend the dinner. If an athlete’s last name falls between the names listed then that is their food assignment. NOTE: Please ensure food is delivered on time (at 7pm), practice will be done by 6pm to allow student-athletes time to return from the river and get to the dinner on time. 

3. UPDATE: Volunteers Needed. We have additional VASRA volunteer positions available this Saturday and we have two RAFT volunteer slots that have become available, one of which is for Saturday. Please sign-up on the VASRA Sign-up Genius link below if you are able to help.

Here are the sign-up genius links for the pre-regatta dinner, RAFT, and VASRA.

Those signed up to volunteer for any of the above this weekend should receive reminders, but we recommend that you check the sign-up links above to ensure you know what volunteer opportunities you signed up for and that you are there on time. If anyone is unable to fulfill a volunteer requirement they previously signed up for on Sign-Up Genius, please contact wtwcrewcommunications@gmail.com before removing your name from the list so we can ensure the shift is covered.

NOTE: It is recommended VASRA volunteers arrive at Silverbrook at least 45 minutes prior to their shift start time so they can take the bus to Sandy Run, sign-in at the VASRA sign-in desk 30 minutes prior to shift, and be at their assigned volunteer duty by the start of their shift.

4. REMINDER: Stotesbury/SRAA forms and payments are due no later than May 4th. The payment information and forms are located on the wtwcrew.org main page under “2018 Away Regatta Meeting.” Packets and payments may be mailed or dropped off to Jami Shawley at 4105 Duncan Dr., Annandale, VA. Packets and payments can also be turned in at the Pasta Dinner tomorrow (Friday, April 27th). Thank you to those who have already submitted their forms and payments.

5. REMINDER: 2018-2019 WTW Crew Booster Executive Board Nominations Requested. Unbelievably, the end of the 2017-2018 season is nearly upon us and we need to begin planning for the 2018-2019 WTW Crew season! At the end of the year, the WTW Crew Boosters (all parents of crew athletes) will vote to elect next year's executive board members (President, Vice President for Team Liaison and Activities, Vice President for Communications, Treasurer, and Secretary). For board position descriptions, please refer to the By-Laws. If you are interested in serving in any of these positions or if you'd like to nominate someone that you think would be great and willing, please contact the nominating committee (Dana Boucher, Amy Pepper, and Kim Sandino) at wtwcrewcommunications@gmail.com. If a committee members reaches out to you to discuss the possibility, please keep an open mind. It takes a whole village to make this awesome club run!

Huge thanks to all of the parent volunteers throughout the year - including board members and every other volunteer job. Your kids appreciate it - whether they realize it or not!

6. REMINDER: To help get ready for regatta day, here are some highlights of what is available on our website:
  • Home Page – Key information for the next regatta will be found on the home page, including regatta heat sheet when available (Woodson races highlighted), links to applicable sign up geniuses, any last minute volunteer requirements, etc. 
  • Sandy Run Park – Description of the park including maps, parking information and how the Silverbrook bus works, along with other tips and information for regatta day. 
  • 2018 Regatta Heat Sheets and Results – Heat sheets when available, links to the regatta on Regatta central, and official results when available for all regattas this season. 
  • 2018 Regatta Schedule – Full regatta schedule for the 2018 season. 
  • Key Dates – Upcoming schedule for the next month or two, including all sign up genius links, Friday dinner party information, form links and deadlines, etc.
